ISLE OF BUTE

Project Manager / Coordinator : Currently being recruited (Apply here if interested)

To win the £3,000,000 investment and become the very first UK Town of Culture In 2028 we invite everyone on Bute to help to shape the program for the Town of Culture bid.

The Rothesay Pavilion is the Convenor and Delivery Partner of the Bute 2028 Town of Culture Bid, working in partnership with the Argyll & Bute Council, the Accountable Partner. We invite everyone to get involved. Here are the ways to be heard and share your ideas.

TOC Conversations

Our bid to become the UK’s Town of Culture in 2028 will not be written in a boardroom. It will be written in our living rooms, our pubs, our community halls, and around our kitchen tables. It will be written by you, and the people who gather together for a TOC Conversation.

TOC Conversation hosts are the engine of this bid. To be a host you don’t need to be a cultural expert or a professional public speaker. You just need to do what islanders do best: put the kettle on, make people feel welcome, and listen
